Occupational Health and Safety
Iberdrola Ingeniería has implemented an Occupational Health and Safety System in accordance with the provisions of Specification OHSAS 18001:1999.
This certification, together with the corresponding Quality (ISO 9001) and Environment (ISO 14001) certification, accredits Iberdrola Ingeniería as meeting the highest safety standards.
In line with our goal, achieving the best health and safety levels within its organisation constitutes a key strategic element for Iberdrola Ingeniería, and the Company has made the following commitments as a result:
- TO PROTECT the health of its workers making a commitment to the continuous improvement of the Health and Safety conditions within the Company.
- TO ENSURE compliance with health and safety legislation, ensuring the strict implementation of Health and Safety Management Systems with the aim of controlling and assuring continuous improvements in the reduction of accidents and increasing the general quality of the production process, and particularly in the role of Project Management and/or Health and Safety Coordination.
- TO INTEGRATE Occupational Health and Safety criteria in all phases of the production process.
- TO ENCOURAGE the adoption of health and safety measures in the knowledge that in doing so efficiency and productivity will improve.
- TO SUPPORT the participation of all the Company's employees in the health and safety processes.
- TO FOSTER the development of new technologies, processes and work methods that lessen its workers' exposure to risk, putting into practice the principle of continuous improvement principle in process definition and in business planning and development.
- TO EXTEND Occupational Health and Safety management to Iberdrola Ingeniería contractors, introducing health and safety criteria in work, service and supply contracts.
- TO OPTIMIZE the concept of Occupational Health and Safety training so that all Iberdrola Ingeniería employees are made aware of the impact of their work on their own health and on the health of the their co-workers and subordinates.
