Iberdrola Ingeniería offers a broad range of services to nuclear power plants, encompassing conceptual and basic engineering, and including system and process definition, turnkey projects and operational support.

Iberdrola Ingeniería has a highly specialized, multidisciplinary service engineering team for the different technologies within the nuclear field:

• Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR): Designs by Westinghouse (USA), KWU of Framatome ANP (Germany) and VVER from Rosenergoatom (Russia)
• Boiling Water reactors (BWR) from General Electric (USA).

Thanks to its work at nuclear power plants in Spain, and in the past few years at plants in countries such as Germany, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Russia, Slovakia and the Ukraine, a substantial number of specialists work on-site at nuclear power plants.

Given its position as a project engineering and management company for IBERDROLA, Iberdrola Ingeniería has extensive experience in the development of technical specifications, and in offer assessment and tender award processes, etc. More specifically, Iberdrola Ingeniería has the people and the experience acquired in the development of the Cofrentes Nuclear Power Plant (BWR/6-1100 MWe) and the Valdecaballeros 1 & 2 Nuclear Power Plant (BWR/6 - 974 MWe) projects, as well as the documentation, technical specifications, calculations and basic design for these projects.

In addition, Iberdrola Ingeniería has developed a large number of study projects, viability studies, modification projects and turnkey projects for both national and international customers.

In order to meet customer demands, Iberdrola Ingeniería has developed a series of products specifically designed to cover the different needs arising during the complete life cycle of a nuclear power plant: engineering and construction of new plants, plants in operation and the decommissioning of nuclear power plants.
